Homework

Hello Parents,

Some of our little people are a bit bothered this week thinking that they have homework to hand in.  Please do not panic!  Homework will not start until Week Three.  We will start sending readers home this week.  It is best not to put too much on their little shoulders at once.  We will ease back into homework with daily reading before we begin our spelling activities.

Sight words will be tested this week and next.  There is no harm in practising these words at home.  Once we have tested everyone, we will update the sight words and spelling books in your child's homework folder.

If you have any questions regarding homework, please shoot us an email.

Welcome

Welcome One and All to Two White’s blog!

This year is set to be an action-packed one with many exciting things happening in our St Bernardine’s school community!

As many of you are aware, Block A (the year 1 and 2 building), has undergone a complete refurbishment over the school holidays.  As a result of these exciting and drastic new changes, we are a little behind on our classroom set up.  There are a few finishing touches that will need to occur in the first few weeks of Term One, before we are fully up and running.  We appreciate your patience during this time.  The end result will involve your children enjoying a modern and beautifully appointed learning environment.

We will post updates on our classroom progress here and on our class twitter account (@MsVDKClass), so that you can be a part of our building journey.  At St Bernardine’s we strongly believe in sustainability, so while paper notes will come home when necessary, this blog will be our main form of communication with you.  We will also add digital copies of any notes that come home under the communications tab.

We are sincerely looking forward to meeting you and your children.  Watch this space!
