Term One, Week Nine

Two weeks to go.  That is all the introduction this week needs!

What’s On?

  • Our Library day is Monday.  Remember to bring in books for changing or renewing. Bags are essential! Even a plastic shopping bag.  The Library Bag Challenge is on and we are contenders!

  • Homework will be sent home on Monday.  It is to be returned the following Monday.  Keep up the excellent daily reading up! This will be the last week of homework for this term!!

  •  We are very grateful for your contributions to our CARITAS appeal.  Keep up the great work!

  • Hats and water bottles are an absolute must at the moment.  We have started cross-country training in preparation for the carnival held in week 10 :)

Sound: ‘o' as in orange 'a' as in watch.
Reading Genre: Information texts.
Writing Genre: Main idea and recount.
Comprehension strategy: Main idea, prediction & retell.

Mathematics Focus
Counting forwards and backwards to 100 in 2s, 5s and 10s.
Addition and doubles.
Number and place value.
2D Shapes and halves.
Time: O'clock and half-past.

Religion Focus
The Easter Story.
Creation stories.

HASS Focus 
The history of Logan.






Science Focus
Life-cycles.

Term One, Week Eight

The week ahead promises to be a terrific one!  Holy smokes! We are at the pointy end of this term!!  I'm reeling while time is stealing!.
